Career to date:


- since 1981 - at the S.C. Apulum S.A. - Porcelain Factory in Alba Iulia, Romania; from 1990 I am the Chief of the Technical - Development / Laboratory Department; being responsible for the technical design, research and development activity and Laboratory, my scientific and technological activity is principally focussed on current and concrete industrial problems and it mainly consists of:
- design, development and experimentation of all ceramic bodies and
glazes applied in the production process;
-chemical - physical - ceramic characterization of raw materials, providing also indications about their use, effects and behaviour during firing, etc.;
-tests of the technological parameters;
-chemical - physical, microstructural characterization of semi-finished and final products;
-optimization of the production processes and development of the new technologies;
-researches concerning the treatment and recycling of ceramic residues;

-at the same time with my work at Apulum:
-from 1992 to 1995 I taught Inorganic Chemistry, Physical - Chemistry, Physical - Chemistry of Silicates and Oxide Compounds, Ceramic Science and Technology as senior lecturer at the "1 Decembrie 1918" University in Alba Iulia, Romania;
-since 2003 I have renewed the co-operation with "1 Decembrie 1918" University in Alba Iulia, Systemic Archaeology Institute, in the field of ceramics, now being involved in a research project on ancient ceramics;
-since February 2007 I carry on the research activity at CCPPR - The Centre of Research, Design, Development and Production for Refractory Materials, in Alba Iulia, Romania.
